Azure Storage Account provides a unique namespace to store and access Azure Storage data objects.
There are two types of storage accounts:
- General-purpose storage account
- Blob storage account
From version 2.0 HYCU supports both types of Azure Storage Accounts.
Pre 2.0 HYCU versions support only General-purpose Storage Accounts.
General-purpose storage account gives you access to different Azure Storage services, while Blob storage account is a specialized storage account for storing unstructured data as blobs (objects).
To check Storage Account type, login to Azure Portal (portal.azure.com), select Storage accounts from left panel and check Kind column in the list of accounts.
Storage type can not be changed once Storage Account has been created
